Since the start of the Spring Term, all pupils from Form Two – Upper Sixth have gradually been given access to laptops, provided by the College, with digital inking capabilities.

With the challenges that young people face in a rapidly changing world, digital literacy is widely regarded as an essential driver of academic success, personal wellbeing and life chances. This significant and exciting initiative puts the importance of digital skills at the heart of every Bishop's Stortford College pupil's educational journey.

This equality of digital access will bring huge benefits to the way in which staff at the College teach, and pupils interact and learn. By providing every pupil with the same tool to bring increased creativity, collaboration and ingenuity into the classroom (and beyond), the College is sure that it is maximising the chances of every child reaching their full potential.

The devices will enable teachers to blend technology with more traditional approaches to provide a rich diversity of learning experience for pupils. Anytime, anywhere access to a range of digital tools and high-quality learning resources will enable greater variety in lessons and promote opportunities for both greater pupil independence and collaboration.
