Senior Maths Challenge Success
In early November in their year group bubbles, Lower and Upper Sixth students took part in the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge; a 90-minute multiple-choice competition aimed at Sixth Form students across the UK.
The challenge encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems and is ultimately designed to make the students think.
Once again, our Sixth Form students did incredibly well and achieved a total of 25 certificates; 10 Bronze, 10 Silver and 5 Gold who will go on to compete in the next round. We would like to extend a huge well done to all the students who took part, particular congratulations to Shengheng D who achieved the Best in Year and Harry N who achieved the Best in School and good luck to those who will be participating in the next round.
