On Thursday 13 March, our U14 girls’ netball team traveled to Loughborough University to take part in the Sisters n Sport National Final.
In a nail-biting semi-final match against Upton-by-Chester High School, the College team emerged victorious by just one goal. The game was a true test of resilience, with the girls displaying exceptional defence throughout, helping close out the game with a narrow but hard-earned win.
This victory took the girls through to the final against Bury Grammar School, a tough opposition. It was an incredibly close and competitive match, and every player gave their all. All areas of the court excelled with great defensive set plays, efficiency through the court, and composure in the shooting circle. Despite their fantastic efforts they narrowly missed out on the title by one goal.
All the girls’ efforts and sportsmanship throughout the Sisters N Sport Cup were exemplary. Securing silver in such a competitive national tournament is a remarkable achievement, and all the girls should be incredibly proud of their performances.
We look forward to seeing them continue to shine in future competitions!
