Prefects Spend Time with All Sorts Dementia Group

Yesterday afternoon our Prep School Prefects joined the members of All Sorts Dementia Group (ASDG), one of our Prep School chosen charities of the year, for an afternoon of wholesome activities and spending quality time with members of our local community.

On arrival, our pupils and staff were warmly welcomed by the group and chatted whilst eating lunch. Our pupils engaged in small group conversations with the members, using College booklets as a starting point for friendly chatter. The afternoon followed with a game of Bingo, with various prizes for winning lines, and a music session, singing along to the likes of ABBA, Cliff Richard, and The Beatles. Everyone even began to dance to the twist and locomotion!

Donations made by the College so far will be used to fund further interactive singing and instrumental activities, as well as book donations to help the group set up their own book club.

The visit ended with our pupils handing out thank you gifts to the staff at ASDG, and was certainly an event to remember.
