Milo and Alex Secure Rotary Junior Young Musician and Vocalist of the Year Awards

On Saturday 20 April, we were delighted to host the annual Bishop’s Stortford Rotary Club’s Young Musician of the Year competition. Over 150 pupils from various local schools participated in the event.

Several of our talented Prep School musicians were in attendance, and featured prominently in several of the competition’s categories. Four pupils, Diego, Alex, Hayden, and Milo, made it through to the grand final which took place that same evening. Diego was selected for Junior Brass, Alex for Junior Vocal, Hayden for Intermediate Woodwind and Milo for Junior Piano.

During the final, all four performed with great character and musicality for a very large audience in our Memorial Hall. We are enormously proud that Milo was declared overall winner for the Junior section of the competition, as well as placing runner-up for the entire competition (including Intermediate and Senior categories), whilst Alex was crowned Young Vocalist of the Year amongst a much older group of singers.
