For the second year running, we are thrilled to celebrate another extraordinary achievement by one of our talented Sixth Form students in the Royal Institute Coronation Award competition.

This national art prize, hosted by the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours and held at the prestigious Mall Galleries in London, continues to inspire and celebrate young artistic talent across the UK.

Last year, our student Olivia C was honoured with the 1st prize in the inaugural competition—an unforgettable moment for both her and our Art Department. This year, we are delighted that Lower Sixth student, Kseniia H, has won 3rd prize with her work selected and displayed at the Mall Galleries. This is an exceptional achievement and a testament to the vibrant creativity and commitment to excellence within our school’s art community.

Kseniia reflected on the experience with the following words:

“I’m so grateful to have had the chance to be part of this exhibition and to see my painting displayed at the Mall Galleries in London. I’m thankful to Miss Munck for encouraging me to submit my work, and I feel proud to have been recognised in this competition. It was such an inspiring experience, and I feel fortunate to have experienced the wider art community and to see the work of so many talented artists.”

These achievements go far beyond technical skill, they show maturity, vision, and a willingness to engage with the broader artistic world. It is a joy to see our students stepping into professional artistic spaces and holding their own among established practitioners.
