We are celebrating today the success of our Year 13 (Upper Sixth) students as they receive outstanding A Level results and embark on to the next stage of their educational journey. The A Level results for our Class of 2025 are the best in eight years*, with 21% of all grades awarded A*, 54% A*-A, and students once again achieving a 100% pass rate across all A Level grades.

Students studying the sciences, performing arts, and creative arts performed exceptionally well, with A*-A grades achieved in 67% of biology results, 63% of chemistry results, 82% of art results, and a remarkable 100% of music and design/engineering results. With 70% of all design results awarded an A*, it is clear we are nurturing the next generation of engineers, with 25% of students progressing to study engineering-related degree courses.

Students studying languages and humanities also achieved outstanding results, with 100% of grades in Spanish being awarded A*-A, 67% in French, 50% in German, 57% in geography, and 56% in history.

All students who received offers from Oxbridge have secured their places, as have all students offered places to study medicine, with everyone securing a place at their first-choice universities.

Many individual achievements are also being celebrated today, including Will C (Head of School) and Ishani M, both earning an extraordinary five A*s, marking an unprecedented level of success. Both students will be progressing to the University of Cambridge to study engineering and medicine, respectively.

Other notable successes include Head of School, Kushi P, who achieved A*AA and has secured a place to study medicine at the University of Leeds; Theo T, who achieved A*A*A*A and will be studying music at the University of Cambridge; and Jasmine H, who achieved three A*s and will be studying natural sciences at Durham University. In addition, Fred B has been awarded a place at Royal College of Music in London, and Henry M (A*A*A) will be taking up a position at Schroders on a Higher Apprenticeship in Wealth Management.

International students at the College have also achieved an outstanding set of results, with Enoch C, achieving A*A*B and securing a place at King’s College London, to study English with film studies, which is his second language. Chelsea C achieved A*A*A and will be going on to study geography at University College London (UCL), and Munaim R, who achieved three A*s, has secured a place at King’s College London to study medicine.

Commenting on the students’ achievements, College Headmaster, Mr John Maguire, said, “The Class of 2025 has already achieved a great deal inside and outside the classrooms at the College, but these exceptional A Level results are a testament to their hard work and dedication during their time here. Many of them joined us in our Pre-Prep and Prep Schools. We are immensely proud of all of them, and they depart the College for some of the best universities in the world. The results reinforce our ambition to promote global educational development and prepare students for the future. While focusing on academic excellence, the education provided at the College also nurtures values and leadership qualities in every student. The College offers a holistic education, reflected not only in the outstanding A Level results across a diverse range of subjects but also in success and recognition in sport and the performing arts, with students encouraged to seize all the opportunities available.”
