Alliott House

Alliott House ExteriorWelcome to Alliott House, which opened its doors as a girls' day house in September 2003 and moved to the new Alliott House (left) in 2015.

Housemistress: Mrs Sarah Wilson

Deputy Housemistress: Miss Heidi Swift

For the girls who belong to Alliott, this is their home here at the College, where they can be themselves, relax, feel comfortable and enjoy one another’s company. In Alliott, everyone’s contribution is valued, everyone’s success is celebrated and everyone is everyone’s friend. The sense of house spirit and community is incredibly strong and enthusiasm abounds for a whole range of activities, be they academic, musical, dramatical, sporty or other. But what really makes it such a special place are the girls themselves who shape and mould the House every day and every year and make it the success that it is.

Throughout the year, there is a whole host of competitions, events, games and activities between Houses and all girls are encouraged to get involved as much as possible. There is something for everyone (sports, art, debating, general knowledge, music, etc.) and they allow all House members to become more involved in their House community, develop their skills, forge new friendships and have fun.

In addition to these events we hold an Alliott social evening every half-term when the girls can relax and enjoy each other’s company – usually whilst eating pizza! We have our Christmas decorating evening with our very own Secret Santa, ice-skating and theatre trips, film nights and much more.

To find out more, come and visit us and see for yourselves what a warm, friendly and caring place Alliott House is.
