Lower Sixth Raise the Bar on Leadership Day
During the last two days before half-term, the Lower Sixth took part in a leadership course to prepare them, not only for their new responsibilities in the Upper Sixth, but also for life after the College. Day 1 began with activities to encourage the students to push their boundaries in terms of their leadership abilities; helping them to try out new things, find out about themselves and question what sort of leader they were.
Day 2 saw the students return to their Houses, where they put their newly honed skills into action, determining how they could start shaping life in the year ahead, both in their Houses and in the school as a whole.
The course closed with a Q&A session with the Senior Management Team, at which ideas were raised and discussed to help create the legacy this year’s cohort will leave behind. The two days were energetic, thought-provoking and illuminating for all, and all participants responded enthusiastically to the opportunities put in front of them.
