Pupils' Insightful Workshops on Islam
Claire Ali from Islamic Educational Workshops visited the Prep School on Tuesday 9th October, starting off with an excellent assembly to the whole school about the festivals of Eid. She then went on to deliver workshops on Islam to the Lower Thirds in order to develop the learning they have started in their RE lessons. The pupils discussed wide-ranging issues, such as how someone becomes a Muslim, why some women wear hijabs and what the daily duties are that Muslims perform. They also had the opportunity to try their hand at calligraphy. The pupils enjoyed the workshops and it was interesting to hear the range of questions they asked Claire about her faith.
