Sixth Form 16-18

Senior 13-16
House Music was in a new time slot for 2019, matched with a new technical set up and sound plot which has given the look and sound of the event a new lift. As a result, the Instrumentals and Partsongs were much better “mic-ed” resulting in performances of which all the students involved in all 10 houses can be proud.
The adjudicator was Richard Mayo, Director of Music at Dulwich College, who said “any school would be proud of the 30 exceptional music performances on stage this afternoon”.

It came as no surprise when the results were announced that Hayward House had won the instrumental competition for their sensational performance of a mash-up of Danza Kuduro and Sweet Dreams are Made of This. The Partsong was won by Young House, who performed a beautifully tuned and shaped rendition of Best Day of My Life. And the Unison prize went to Alliott House for their rendition of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, which was not only musically excellent but which had energy and performance values to boot!
The overall winners, once all the marks were added together, was Hayward House who had worked very hard at their partsong and unison entries this year to secure an overall win.
Well done and a huge thank you to all of the House Music Directors from all of the houses for working hard to put on a show of such high quality!
