Harvest Celebrations Across the College
All sections of the College celebrated harvest during the first week of October, ending with a beautiful service for the Prep School on Friday 4th October. College Chaplain Ian Morris led the service, reminding everyone to be grateful for the abundance that we have, a message reiterated by Tony Miller from the Whitechapel Mission. Tony thanked the College community for their donations of food that will help support the Mission’s dedication to providing food for homeless people every single day of the year.
Mr Morris was ably supported by many Upper Third prefects, and many staff members noted how eloquent and clear they were in their readings and prayers. The Shell and Form 1/2 choirs both sang delightfully, ‘Beautiful World’ and ‘We plough the fields and scatter’ respectively, with the latter hymn having a different, modern arrangement composed by Mrs Aitken.
