Form 2 Explore the Beginnings of Time

Form 2 pupils enjoy science trip to Cambridge 2019

On Tuesday 2nd July, Form Two spent the morning visiting the oldest and newest of the Cambridge University Museums. In the Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences, pupils analysed fossil evidence of evolution and in the ultra modern Zoology Museum, located in the David Attenborough building, they discovered vibrant displays outlining the journey of adaptation, evolution, survival and extinction.

Following a sunny lunch break under the trees of the Botanical Gardens, pupils visited a range of different planted/cultivated areas and the biomes of the Glass Houses, including the amazing flowering Victoria cruziana giant water lily, on which the design for the famous Botanical Garden water fountain feature is based.
