Fascinating Judaism Workshops for Lower Shell
On Tuesday 4th June, Ruth Jampel from Judaism for Schools visited the Prep School to deliver a fascinating workshop to Lower Shell. This was Ruth's second visit to the Prep School this year and she started the day by giving a very interesting assembly on The Life of a Jew, explaining the ways major rites of passage are marked by Jews. Ruth then spent the rest of the morning in workshops with Lower Shell pupils, who were able to develop their learning on Judaism through a variety of different activities. They had an opportunity to make candles, try writing Hebrew, tasted some of the foods eaten during Passover and tried on kippahs. Everyone responded very well to the sessions, asking lots of questions and engaging sensibly with the activities.
We look forward to inviting Ruth back again next spring!
