Impressive Start for U11 Girl Cricketers

U11 girls cricket team fixture v Dame Bradburys

On Wednesday 15th May, we welcomed Dame Bradbury’s to the College to play our U11 Girl cricketers in their first matches this year. All teams demonstrated some fantastic bowling and batting and the standard of cricket was very impressive. In the B match Juliet L's bowling improved significantly and Kate M-S and Annabelle S were excellent when batting. Another highlight of the match was  Tegan P-B's catch. In the A match, Eva S’s bowling was consistently strong and in the bat Lilly N scored numerous boundaries. Sujaanvi B was awarded Player of the Match for her outstanding fielding efforts.

In the coming weeks we look forward to playing Felsted, Bedford Modern, Kingshott and King’s Cambridge as well as attending the IAPS tournament at St Faith’s and a Kwik cricket tournament hosted by New Hall.  Form 1 and 2 girls will also have the opportunity to develop their skills further on Monday 24th June, when we welcome former England cricketer Lydia Greenway to the College for a cricket coaching session.

Well done to all the girls on some very promising performances!
