Fond Farewell & Thank You to Mr Woodhouse
Mr Woodhouse, Deputy Headmaster, Head of Boarding and Teacher of Biology, will retire at the end of the year after more than four decades at the College - 43 years to be precise. To pay homage to Mr Woodhouse, and to thank him for his unstinting support over the years, Housemasters and Housemistresses past and present got together in the Doggart Pavillion on Tuesday 14th May for one of Mr Woodhouse's favourite extra-curricular activities – afternoon tea!
It was a glorious, sunny afternoon with cricket being played and a plethora of delicious cakes for all to sample. Everyone enjoyed themselves, particularly hearing some of the amusing anecdotes from Mr Woodhouse's 130 terms at the College. As a small memento of the afternoon, he was given some chicken balloons, in commemoration of his famous Christmas assemblies where he would bring in one of his chickens.
All the Housemasters and Housemistresses extend their warmest thanks to Mr Woodhouse for everything he has done for over the years. He will be greatly missed!
