70 Upper 5ths' Taste of Making a Living
Over 70 Upper 5th pupils undertook work experience organised through the College scheme during the first week of the summer holidays, providing them with the opportunity to experience a snapshot of working life.
It was clearly an immensely productive and useful experience for the pupils, with employers commenting on how "engaged and willing to learn" the pupils were, the professionalism of their work and that they "were a credit to the school". Parents were also pleased with the week, with one parent noting how the week "gave him a great dose of self-belief”, "provided an excellent opportunity to discuss career ideas" and gave them ideas for the future.
Well done to all the pupils who obviously worked very hard and a big thank you to all our employers, of whom many are College parents and former pupils, for providing such incredible opportunities. The photo above shows the pupils at their pre-placement briefing session, held in early July.
