Lower 6th In the Lead
On May 24th and 25th, the whole of the Lower 6th embarked on a leadership course to prepare them not only for their new responsibilities in the Upper 6th, but also for life after the College. Day 1 began with exercises to encourage the students to push the boundaries in terms of their leadership abilities; helping them to try out new things, find out about themselves and questioning what sort of leader they were.
Day 2 saw the students return to their Houses, where they could put their newly honed skills into action, determining how they could start shaping life in their Houses in the year ahead as Upper 6th Formers.
The two days were energetic, thought-provoking and illuminating for all, and all students responded really enthusiastically to the opportunities put in front of them. This two day course will be followed by a Q&A session with the Senior Management Team this half-term in which ideas will be suggested to help create the legacy this year’s cohort will leave behind them.
