Medals Aplenty for Aquathlon Competitors

Aquathlon pupils with medals

After an early start on the morning of Tuesday 24th April, 21 pupils travelled down to Effingham in Surrey for the National Schools Aquathlon Championships. The competition is for 7 – 13 year olds and requires the pupils to swim in the pool followed immediately by a run over a set distance. These can vary from 50m – 200m in the pool followed by a 500m – 2000m run. The pupils have been training for this event since the beginning of the year and several of them have competed in past years.
