Upper Shell Conquerors at Tower of London
Upper Shell enjoyed a brilliant day at The Tower of London on Friday 16th March, learning about Norman Britain and how William the Conqueror put the first foundations down with his Motte and Bailey Castle. Our fantastic tour guide, in medieval costume, had all the pupils enthralled when re-enacting the Battle of Hastings and giving the Upper Shell pupils a taste for their next History topic.
The rest of the day was spent around the Tower, even conquering the 240 steps up to the White Tower to see the Tudor and Norman treasures inside! Thank you to all those that came on the trip and well done to Upper Shell for excellent behaviour throughout the day.
