Sixth Form Expedition to Malawi
A team of excited Sixth Form students left for Malawi on Monday 3rd April, having raised an amazing £15,000 towards developing Banda Hill School and permaculture garden after months of fundraising activities. On Tuesday 11th April Paramount Chief Kachindamoto carried out the official opening ceremony of the newly decorated classroom, which has undergone an incredible transformation thanks to the students' hard work, as you can see from the before and after images below:
The opening ceremony was carried out by Chief Kachindamoto, who presented the College team with traditional Ngoni Tribe fabric & gifts. In return, the College students and staff presented Banda Hill school with gifts they had brought with them from the UK. As well as working hard on developing the classrooms, the students have enjoyed taking in the stunning surroundings, including seeing animals up close on safari, trekking through the hillside and visiting local markets.
