Senior School Houses Rise to the Challenge
Senior School Houses have been up to a myriad of creative, artistic and challenging activities whilst remote learning to keep in touch with each other and promote well-being. In the current circumstances, it is essential to keep the mind and body healthy, as well as having regular breaks from screens.
Whilst Tee House have been continuing with their Green Games competitions, Trotman House girls were challenged last week to create the tallest tower they possibly could out of anything yellow or gold in their houses and Sutton boys took on a culinary challenge and were tasked to cook a meal of their choice for their family.
Meanwhile, Benson House girls drew upon their artistic skills and created some stunning nail artwork and have also taken on a virtual trail challenge which will encourage the girls to walk, run, cycle, and swim their way from Land’s End to John O’Groats, covering a distance of just over 1,000 miles. On the way, the girls' achievements will mean that a tree will be planted for every 20% of the journey that has been covered. With a target of completing the challenge by April, the girls are already well underway, have already covered 287 miles and the first tree has been planted.
