As a result of the current Covid-19 situation, the Music Department has done an incredible job of adapting lessons, which would usually involve singing, to other methods of music-making in a Covid-safe environment.

In the 4th Form, pupils have been using a percussion instrument made from different lengths of plastic to produce various pitches, known as Wak-a-tubes. As well as being easily disinfected and non-aerosol generating, Wak-a-tubes have provided a superb alternative for pupils to continue to practice teamwork and communication in ensemble partnership performances which would have originally been sung.
