The Gruffalo Visits Pre-Prep
On Thursday 5th November Reception pupils went on an exciting adventure around the College campus to find the Gruffalo! Having visited their classrooms over half term, pupils discovered that the Gruffalo had returned and they were challenged to follow a variety of clues, based on the book by Julia Donaldson, to find out where it was hiding.
Pupils enthusiastically followed a trail of clues around the College and worked together to unravel the mystery whilst meeting all the other characters from ‘The Gruffalo’ along the way. First, the pupils found the character of the snake and they were tasked to build a huge snake out of sticks. Next, they discovered the fox who sent them running around, whilst the owl played hide and seek with them all. Then pupils found the mouse, who asked them to help build a house and lastly, they figured out all of the clues and found the Gruffalo. After dancing with the Gruffalo pupils enjoyed some delicious Gruffalo crumble to finish off a wonderful afternoon.
