Remembrance Service

Whole College +1 More Old Stortfordians
Posted on: November 11th 2020

Although we sadly cannot mark this year’s Remembrance Day as we usually would, we instead livestreamed our Senior School Remembrance Service from the Memorial Hall on Wednesday 11th November for the whole College community to join us from wherever they were in the world.

Starting at 10.50am, the service included an introduction from the Head and College Chaplain, Mr Morris, a reading by the Heads of School, a performance from the Upper Sixth Choir, the Last Post, laying of wreaths and a 2 minute silence.

Meanwhile in the Prep School, pupils watched the virtual assembly delivered by the Chaplain and made their own personal poppies using pipe cleaners, tissue paper and other materials and laid them outside the front of the Memorial Hall. In the Pre-Prep, pupils observed a 2 minute silence at 11am.
