During this year’s virtual Final Assembly on Friday 3rd July, prizes were awarded to Upper Fifth artists for their outstanding GCSE artwork. The artwork was judged by Justin Godfrey, Head of Office at Savills, Bishop’s Stortford and his colleague Simone Berney.

First prize was awarded to Libby H for her hand thrown, carved and formed ceramic sculpture. Mrs Berney commented Libby’s piece is “A beautiful sculpture – astounding with not only amazing use of colour but texture and flow. A piece that I would be very proud to have on my bookcase at home.”

Second prize was presented to Sadie J for her stunning oil paint on canvas. Mrs Berney commented that Sadie’s artwork is a “Fantastic use of oils” and a “picture that you find yourself being consumed by...[it] gives a pronounced feeling of floating.”
