The Tale of Robin Hood
Year 2 have been focussing on consolidating their work on the Robin Hood story recently. They used their creativity and imaginations to complete a storyboard with illustrations and used a range of adjectives to describe the hero, heroine, villain, quest, solution and happy ending. Their sentence structure, punctuation, range of vocabulary and understanding of the story was very impressive!
The pupils then moved onto a more practical task and used their design and construction skills to build their very own version of the Sheriff’s castle. Linking in with their study of leaves, for which Year 2 have been drawing leaves and making nature weaves, the pupils also thought about Robin Hood’s hideout in Sherwood forest, what it might look like and what it would be made from.
