Pupils Take a Bite out of Maths Feast
On Friday 13th March, a group of four Lower Fifth pupils, Fergus G, Qipei H, Will L and Matthew T, took part in the Regional Maths Feast Competition against 16 other teams from schools within Hertfordshire and North East London.
The Maths Feast, which is a fun educational challenge for Year 10 pupils, tests problem-solving and teamwork skills through a variety of tasks. The event includes four different rounds of questions; true/false merry-go-round, problem-solving, mathematical reading comprehension and speed relay, each requiring various skills and strategies for success.
The team did extremely well across all four categories, scoring an impressive 16 out of 20 on the comprehension round and not being afraid to have a go at answering questions on topics they have not yet met.
A huge well done to the team who were told they finished in the top five – an incredible achievement!
