Matthew Hoggard talks to Senior School pupils

Ahead of his Festival of Literature speaking engagement on Friday 7th February, former England cricketer and 2005 Ashes legend Matthew Hoggard led training sessions in the nets for groups of Prep and Senior School cricketers. Working with the pupils, particularly on their bowling techniques, Matthew's advice and tips proved inspirational.  Mabel, who had been awarded Girl Cricketer of the Year by Hertfordshire Cricket the previous evening was particularly encouraged by his insights.

Thrilled with Mabel being crowned Girls' Cricketer of the Year, Head of Cricket David Hughes said that "this is a wonderful achievement for Mabel, who is part of the Elite Cricket Programme at the College and is making excellent progress". In addition to her award, Mabel has been given a £1000 sponsorship from cricket equipment-supplier Gray Nicolls. Congratulations Mabel!
