Shape of the College Week

Update: 23 February 2023

Following completion of the extensive consultation on our proposed changes to the Shape of the College week, the Executive team has recommended to the Education Committee and the Governing Council that they are implemented in September. This week the Governing Council have met and agreed the proposals. A full communication was sent out to parents on 22 February.

Our sincere thanks to everyone who has taken part in the process. The feedback we received has helped shape and refine the project, pointing out what works and highlighting areas of potential concern which enabled us to address them.

We will be keeping it under constant review, but firmly believe that the change to the shape of the College week is in the best interests of everyone, and we look forward to moving on to the implementation stage.

In the following pages you will find details of our exciting proposal for the future structure of the school week in both the Senior and Prep Schools. Please take time to watch our video and review the plans.

Work on this project has been undertaken over the past two years and stems from both pupil and parent voices, heard clearly through surveys and forums, and informally. The happiness, wellbeing and educational journey of our pupils lies at the heart of College life; we believe all will be enhanced.

We are confident the changes we are proposing will offer improved teaching, learning and sporting opportunities across the schools, and that pupils and staff will benefit from the enriched timetable that will be offered. The proposal represents the opportunity for change that so many of you have asked for and it is fantastic that we are able to offer this change for September.
